Heather Scott, CNMCertified Nurse - Midwife
It was the attentive and comprehensive care of nurse-midwives during each Heather's four pregnancies that inspired her to provide the same level of care to other families in her community. Over the years Heather has worked with families in a variety of capacities from teaching childbirth classes, providing doula support, working as a registered nurse and now as a nurse-midwife. Heather completed both her Masters of Science in Nurse-Midwifery and Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University. Heather has worked with families in both the out-of-hospital and in-hospital setting. Heather believes that pregnancy is a normal time of life, not a medical condition, and that every person should have equal access to care that focuses on the whole person and encourages them to be an active participant in their care. When not at work, Heather is usually spending her time "doing-life" with her four children and their endless number of pets in the foothills outside of Denver where they live.
